Amber Hillier
Amber Hillier accepted Christ as a child and has been involved in ministry her entire adult life. She has worked with special needs and in children’s ministries, as well as with middle school and teens. She has traveled to Panama, Peru and Cambodia, sharing the message of salvation. She has a heart for human trafficking survivors and has worked extensively educating people on the dangers of predators, especially where you live.

Choosing Life in an ICU, Laughter in a Wheelchair & Love in a Troubled World
Since 2015, Keli and Amber Hillier, a dynamic mother daughter duo, have been jointly sharing their powerful story of restoration in Christ.
The story is one of brokenness to victory, depression to restoration and of life to death and back to life again. Using humor, real life examples and practical hands on application of scripture, they share how, from a pit of darkness, Keli took God's promises, applied them to her everyday life and saw God turn them into reality. You will leave learning how to release God's overcoming power in your situation, regardless of circumstances.
December 2021 - life took a dark turn. After testing positive for Covid, Amber drove her mom to the hospital for what was expected to be an overnight stay. 115 days later she would finally return home. 55 days on the ventilator, 50 days with a tracheotomy and almost 7 minutes deceased. Join on their journey through the ICU, Heaven Time with Jesus, and the road to recovery.
Whether an evening with an intimate group of women, a large weekend conference, a Sunday morning service, or something in between, they invite you into their yesterdays of hopelessness, their today of joy and their tomorrows of expectations.
Loving Authentically & Embracing the Broken
As followers of Jesus, we are God's physical representation of His Love and His Compassion. We are surrounded by unbelievable hurt and brokenness: In the world around us, the people sitting in the pew next to us, and often times within us. How often do we arrive at church, put a smile on our face and hide our pain. Church should be the place where we bring our pain, not where we feel the need to hide it the most. And unfortunately, many believers have been hurt so deeply in church that they have walked away from the Body of Christ all together. This is not the heart of our loving God.
After all, how can we show an unbelieving world the genuineness of Christ if we do not know how to be real with one another.

A Little History |
Saved for as long as I can remember.
Battled anxiety and depression for years. Spent 2 1/2 years in bed - paralyzed by fear. Lost home and business in the 90's - had to start completely over. Besides emotional and financial problems, struggled for years with marital issues. Basically spent the first part of my life a saved mess - completely defeated and miserable. Found my true identity in Christ - now let me share my story with you. |

This is a detailed walk through my journey from debilitating depression and anxiety to healing and complete restoration. It includes a massive amount of Scripture, personal stories, and actual activities I did to assist in applying the Word to my everyday life.

Jesus Time
For the majority of my life, I have found the bible to be a very difficult read. Growing up in a pastor's home I have been around the bible my entire life. However, it was not until my mid 30’s that I started to view the bible as a way that God was trying to communicate with me personally and directly - not just in a general, "all of mankind" kind of way. But I know that I know, without getting into the Word I would never have received such a complete healing. It is in the Word where I grew to know God intimately. This kind of relationship takes effort and time on a consistent basis. Often times, I find I have company during my Jesus Time.

Proxy Time
Early in my life, I put zero energy into developing a relationship with God, and therefore had a very shallow understanding of His character. I had no personal connection with God, which would have triggered a necessity to question the lies which I believed about Him.
I would like to note that these distorted views I had of God did not directly come from my parents or husband. I am not quite sure how they developed, but develop they did.
Over time, and in large part due to my lack of a deep relationship with Jesus, these harmful beliefs took root and they matured, some of them growing incredibly strong. These wrong beliefs clouded anything and everything connected to God.
I would like to note that these distorted views I had of God did not directly come from my parents or husband. I am not quite sure how they developed, but develop they did.
Over time, and in large part due to my lack of a deep relationship with Jesus, these harmful beliefs took root and they matured, some of them growing incredibly strong. These wrong beliefs clouded anything and everything connected to God.
Waiting for Lightning to Strike
While I knew Jesus loved me (at least I got that one right – I mean they did write a song about it,) I honestly thought God very angry and waiting for me to mess up so He could swoop down and punish me.
When a problem arose in my life, I thought it was a sign I had committed some horrible transgression against God and He was furious with me. I lived in fear of that proverbial lightning bolt from the sky.
Thanks to a combination of nauseating arrogance and the small amount of “intellectual knowledge” I had of the Bible, I assumed I had God all figured out and this was just how life was supposed to be.
When a problem arose in my life, I thought it was a sign I had committed some horrible transgression against God and He was furious with me. I lived in fear of that proverbial lightning bolt from the sky.
Thanks to a combination of nauseating arrogance and the small amount of “intellectual knowledge” I had of the Bible, I assumed I had God all figured out and this was just how life was supposed to be.

Just Couldn't Take It Any More
In addition to reconciliation and restoration of our family, God has also, in a way that only He can do, taken the very things that were once shameful, removed the sting and turned them into areas where I now am able to connect to women in a way I never would have been able to before my depression.
I am overwhelmed by the joy and excitement I receive from sharing how Christ has healed me. I absolutely love that God, the Master Builder, has taken the shattered dreams of my life, picked up raw, broken, bleeding pieces and is weaving them together. My passion and delight now flow from this thread of what was once a very dark, deep pit - a pit that I never thought I would break free from.

I am in awe that God has taken me, just as I am, and loved me back into the land of the living and taught me how to breathe again. He then took all my pain and He gave that pain a purpose.
That purpose is to share with other women this incredible life-giving Father we have. A Father who loves us just as we are, in all our sin and brokenness. We don't have to get it all together, lose weight, clean house, get our roots done or even bring our bank account balance positive. He loves us just as we are. |
